The International Confederation of Sport and Exercise Science Practice (ICSESP) is proud to have led a landmark global initiative to establish International Sport Science Professional Standards. Launched in May 2024, the project brought together world leading expertise through a dedicated Steering Committee and an international Working Group representing 16 countries.
Using a rigorous, evidence-based and consensus-driven approach, experts have collaborated to shape standards that reflect best practice across diverse regions and professional contexts.
This initiative marks a significant step forward in strengthening professional credibility, consistency and global recognition for sport science, providing a strong foundation for the future growth and development of the profession worldwide.
