ICSESP Partners with University of Fiji to present the 2024 Fiji Physical Activity Promotion Symposium 10 August

The 2024 Fiji Physical Activity Promotion Symposium (FPAPS) is dedicated to sharing expertise and generating new knowledge in exercise and sports science across Pacific Island Nations and those around the world. The 2024 FPAPS will provide an opportunity for current students studying health promotion, medicine, public health or a related discipline, living in a Pacific Island Nation, to present in front of their peers and be recognised with the 2024 FPAPS Best Presenter Award. The objectives of this symposium include promoting knowledge exchange, fostering professional development, and addressing health outcomes, particularly in non-communicable diseases prevalent in the region.

 

The 2024 FPAPS aims to leave a lasting impact on the healthcare and wellness landscape of Pacific Island Nations. By supporting scholars and facilitating knowledge exchange, and collaborative opportunities, we aim to contribute to the advancement of exercise and sports science in the region, ultimately promoting improved health outcomes.

ICSESP Director Nathan Reeves Provides an Update on the International CEP Standards in Turkiye

Nathan recently had the privilege of presenting at the 5th International Congress of Athletic Performance & Health in Sports in Istanbul, Turkiye. Congress Chair, Dr Turker Biyikli, invited Nathan to present on an ‘Update on the development of International Clinical Exercise Physiology Professional Standards.’

‘There were so many congress delegates who appreciate the role exercise and physical activity can play in the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases. There was a strong interest in how the international clinical exercise physiology standards have been developed and the opportunity the standards offered to countries, like Turkiye, looking to develop a clinical exercise physiology profession.’ Nathan Reeves.

The ICSESP looks forward to working closely with the many enthusiastic and passionate exercise professionals in Turkiye as they look for develop a Clinical Exercise Physiology profession and become a member of the confederation.

The ICSESP Board will be coming together for a range of face to face meetings aligning with the Exercise & Sports Science Australia Research to Practice 2024 Conference 2-4 May, Sydney, Australia. Come along and join any of the open sessions to hear of the work of the confederation and ask any questions that you may have. The ICSESP Board members will be more than happy to chat at any time throughout the conference so come and introduce yourself.
